ROSE-GARNETT

Kimberley Michelle Garnett and David Ransom Rose were married June 12, 1993, in a turn-of-the-century wedding at the home of the bride with Reverend Kelly Dampeer officiating. The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. The maid of honor was Joell Garnett, cousin of the bride. Matron of honor was Heather Garnett, sister-in-law of bride. Bridesmaids were Tammy Garnett, cousin of bride, Leslie Lucas and Michelle Brooks. Flowergirl was Brittany Garnett, cousin of bride. Jimmy Wooldridge was best man. Ushers included Roderick Garnett, brother of bride, Jack Sloan, Van Garnett, cousin of bride, and Daryl Lucas. Ringbearer was Charlie Meador, cousin of bride. Tony Carter, cousin of groom, was page. Candlelighters were James Garnett, cousin of bride, and his wife, Lisa. Guestbook attendant was Heather White. The bride wore a victorian gown of white taffeta trimmed with sequins and pearls with cathedral train, and she wore a white satin hat with ostrich feathers. The bride designed and made the hat and parasol. She carried a bouquet of white gardenias and roses attached to the parasol. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth W. Garnett of Vinton. She graduated from Virginia Western Community College. The groom is the son of Mrs. Janice Britton of Vinton and Mr. Oscar Ransom Rose of Roanoke. He graduated from Staunton River High School and is employed by Allied Safety Incorporated. The newlyweds will live in Salem after a southern wedding trip.
