RUSHKOFF-WHITESELL

Karen Saunders Whitesell and Bennett Rushkoff were married May 23, 1993 in Rock Green Park in Washington, D.C. The Hon. John H. Treanor, Jr., officiated. A reception was held on June 12, 1993 at La Maison in Roanoke.

The bride is the daughter of Martha Saunders Whitesell and the late Harry Clifton Whitesell, of Roanoke. She is a clinical supervisor in the physical therapy service at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1977. She attended Mary Washington College and received a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the Medical College of Virginia in 1981. She is currently attending the University of Maryland in the Graduate School of Management and Technology.

The groom is the son of SheilaRushkoff and the late Marvin Rushkoff, of Scarsdale, New York. He is an attorney at the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C. He is a graduate of Scarsdale High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Princeton University and a J.D. degree from Yale Law School.

The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Brenda Whitesell, of Raleigh, North Carolina. The groom's brother, Douglas Rushkoff, of New York City, was the best man.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Greece. They reside in Washington, D.C.
