SCHOONOVER-DAMRON
Peggy L. Damron and John W.Schoonover were married May 15th, 1993 in
Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church. The reception was held at the
fellowship hall. The maid of honor was Gloria Harrison, sister of the bride.
The bridesmaids were Doris Cox, sister of the bride. Jr. bridesmaid was
Evangeline Schoonover, daughter of the groom. The best man was Mike Blaha,
best friend of the groom. The ushers were Jack Kane, friend. Jr. usher was
Dane Schoonover, son of the groom. The ringbearer was Gareth Schoonover, son
of the groom, and Alex Cox, nephew of the bride. The guestbook was attended by
Stephanie Smith. The bride wore a gown of satin and lace with pearls. The
bride is a daughter of Frances Damron of Roanoke. She is employed by Community
Hospital. The bridegroom, son of Sylvester and Violet Schoonover of
Statesville, N.C., is a graduate of the University of Charleston, S.C. He is
employed by Roanoke Restaurant Services. The newlyweds will live in Roanoke
after the wedding trip to Atlanta.
