Donna Marie Zollman and Gerald Wayne Tobey were married April 17, 1993 at
Eagle Eyrie Baptist Assembly in Lynchburg, Va., and celebrated with a Service
of Worship and Commitment to Christian Marriage on June 12, 1993, in Melrose
Baptist Church, Roanoke, Va., with Rev. Larry Sprouse officiating. The
reception was held at the church. The maid of honor was Miss Mandy Tobey,
daughter of groom. The matron of honor was Mrs. Norma Z. Engel, sister of
bride. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Rebecca W. Tobey, sister-in-law of groom, and
Mrs. Connie Sue Burkert, niece of bride. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Heather
Anne Tobey, niece of groom. Flowergirls were Miss Lesley Elizabeth Burkert and
Miss Emily Lauren Burkert, great-nieces of bride. Mr. James F. Tobey, Jr.,
brother of groom, was best man. Ushers included Mr. Christopher L. Tobey,
brother of groom, Mr. Matthew W. Tobey, nephew of groom, Mr. Gary L. Bradford
and Mr. Leonard D. Wright, friends of groom. Special usher was Mr. Aaron N.
Tobey, son of groom. Ringbearer was Mr. Scott Bradford, nephew of groom. The
bride was escorted by her brother, Samuel B. Zollman. Guestbook was attended
by Mrs. Kimberly M. Tobey, sister-in-law of groom, and Miss Ami Marie Tobey,
daughter of groom. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Ruby W. Zollman of
Roanoke and the late Mr. Warren R. Zollman. She graduated from William Fleming
High School and attended Virginia Western Community College. She is employed
by Internal Revenue Service. The groom is the son of the late James F. and
Myra P. Tobey. He graduated from Glenvar High School and attended Virginia
Western Community College. He is employed by Blue Ridge Sporting Supplies in
Salem, Va. The newlyweds will live in Roanoke.
