WOODSON-ARCHER

Miss Corina Kay Archer and Mr. James Blair Woodson were united in holy matrimony at 5:30 p.m. on June 12, 1993, in Thrasher Chapel, Vinton, Virginia. The Reverend George Wesley Jones performed the ceremony. Mrs. Jann Archer Rice, of Sterling, Virginia, served as her sister's matron of honor. The groom's father, Mr. Rodger Blair Woodson of Roanoke, was the best man. Bridesmaids were Miss Wendy Pember of Athens, Georgia, Miss Valerie Bell of Vinton, Miss Tonya Hall of Lexington, and Mrs. Rhonda Gillespie of Galax. The flower girl was Miss Elisabeth Ashland Norris, cousin of the bride. Groomsmen were Mr. Bill Woodson, brother of the groom, Mr. Rob Moses, Mr. Greg Kendrick, all of Roanoke, and Mr. Gregg Basham of Salem. Ushers were Mr. Ben Archer of Roanoke and Mr. Brad Archer of Baltimore, Maryland, brothers of the bride. Miss Mitzie Fry of Roanoke, attended the guest book. Special out of town relatives included great-grandmothers, Mrs. Hazel Ward of Orlando, Florida and Mrs. Charles Beadle of Hinckley, Ohio; grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. James Ward of Winter Park, Florida.

The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, Shadow Ridge, Boones Mill. Miss Dana Williams of Anniston, Alabama and Miss Jennifer Petering of Baltimore, Maryland served as hostesses at the reception.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. Andrew Archer of Boones Mill. She is a graduate of William Byrd High School and Virginia Tech. She is employed by Michel and Hanks Accounting. The groom is the son of Mr. Rodger Blair Woodson and Mrs. Holly Ward Woodson of Roanoke. He is a graduate of Northside High School and Virginia Tech. He is employed by Marriott Food Services. Following a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple will reside in Alexandria, Virginia.
