WINSTON-GRAINGER

Jennie Caruthers Grainger andRyland Addison Winston, Jr., both of Charlotte, North Carolina, were married Saturday, June 12 at noon in West Market Street United Methodist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina with Rev. Howard D. Sherrill, Jr. officiating. Areception followed at the UNCG Alumni House.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Marion Grainger, graduated from Page High School in Greensboro,University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and University of North Carolina Graduate School at Charlotte. She is an art teacher in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ryland Addison Winston of Roanoke, graduated from North Cross School, Duke University, and University of Virginia School of Law. He is general counsel to Collett and Associates in Charlotte.

The bride, given in marriage byher father, was attended by hersister, Sharon Grainger Stewart of Greensboro. Honorary attendants were Mary Elizabeth Carney, Barrett Sloan Ranson, and Genette duPont McShane, all of Charlotte; Linda Stowe Greer ofDavidson; Elizabeth Tillman Murray of Greensboro; Julia Fentress Baker ofBedford; Sally Warneck Kinder ofSummerville, South Carolina; LouiseSadler Pinckney of Columbia, SouthCarolina; Tamara Lynn Overman ofAtlanta, Georgia; Mary Catherine Furst Jones of Baltimore, Maryland; Bonnie Hussey Philips of Burlington, Vermont; and Elizabeth Mitchell Faith of Houston, Texas.

The groom's father was best man. Groomsmen were Marvin Jenks Winston, brother of the groom; and Nicholas Leo Lampros, both of Roanoke; William McLaren Prichard and Richard VlloaTobar, both of Charlotte; Daniel DeanBriere of Montclair, New Jersey; Theron Reid Lewis of Arlington; and Mark Armistead Thomas of Barboursville, Virginia.

The couple will reside in Charlotte.
