The 1991 champions hold a two-shot lead over David Partridge and Mark Lawrence of Richmond.
On a day when 31 teams broke par on the 6,771-yard course, Brogan and Entsminger separated themselves from the field with 5-under-par play on the last six holes. Their round was highlighted by Brogan's eagle-3 on the par-5 14th hole, where he pitched in from 60 yards. Entsminger hit birdies at the par-5 16th and the par-4 18th.
Pete and Stewart Brewbaker, also playing out of Lexington, were 18th. They shot a 2-under-par 70.

In Radford, Mother Nature won the Jesse Jones 200 at New River Valley Speedway on Saturday night.
Rain began falling on the track at 7:15 p.m., just before qualifying ended. After track officials waited for the rain to pass and tried unsuccessfully to keep the racing surface dry, the event was canceled.
Tickets from Saturday's race will be honored next week.
In Lynchburg, former Virginia Tech standouts Jon Ranthum and Ed Butterworth advanced to the men's doubles final at the Central Virginia Invitational Tennis Tournament.

In other matches Saturday involving area players, Salem's Hugh Garst dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision to John Foster of Lynchburg in a men's 55-and-over semifinal; and Charlie Catalano of Lynchburg ousted David McCray of Roanoke 6-3, 6-4 in a men's 45-and-over second-round match.
