OBIT-WRIGHT, ELMO H. SR.

WRIGHT, Elmo H. Sr., 73, of Route 1, Box 154 (New Hope Rd.), Princeton, W.Va., died Saturday, June 12, 1993, at his home. Born in Wytheville, he was the son of the late Early and Lettie Cornett Wright. He had been a resident of the Princeton area for 25 years. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and coal miner and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gearldine Moles Wright and two children. Survivors include a son, Elmo Wright Jr. of Princeton, W.Va.; daughter, Judy Wright Owens of Lexington, N.C.; a sister, Edna Mabe of Max Meadows; former wife, China Hall Wright of Lexington, N.C.; two grandchildren, Stacy Wright of Princeton, Pam Edwards of Lexington, N.C.; three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Comers Rock Cemetery in Comers Rock, Va. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, W.Va.
