$13.1 MILLION TICKET SOLD IN MARTINSVILLE

State lottery officials say a Martinsville convenience store sold the winning ticket in Saturday's $13.1 million Lotto jackpot.

The winning ticket - with numbers 7, 8, 9, 16, 25, 36 - was purchased at the Speedway Center on Commonwealth Boulevard.

Lottery spokeswoman Cherie Phaup said the winner will receive an estimated $445,000 a year after taxes for 20 years.

Phaup said 172 players matched five of six numbers to win $978 each.

Another 7,904 players matched four numbers to win $45 each and 129,035 tickets matched three numbers to win a free play.

Wednesday's jackpot is estimated at $1 million. - Staff report
