OBIT SUMNER, SANDRA ANN BAILEY

SUMNER, Sandra Ann Bailey, 50, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, June 13, 1993, at her home. She was a member of the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church and was a retired teacher, having taught senior government at Blacksburg High School for 23 years. Survivors include her husband, Dan Sumner, of Christiansburg; one daughter, Melissa M. Sumner; and one son, Sean D. Sumner, both of Christiansburg; her mother, Mrs. Helen Keister Bailey of Radford; one stepdaughter, Ann-Rochelle Sumner-Hameed of New York, N.Y. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 15, 1993, at 2 p.m. at the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church with Dr. William H. Jackson officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Sandra Bailey Sumner Memorial Scholarship Fund, care of Blacksburg High School, Patrick Henry Drive, Blacksburg, VA 24060. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
