SOUTHWEST TIMES REPORTER RETURNS

A veteran reporter has returned to the Southwest Times.

J.R. Schrader reported for the newspaper for 19 years before leaving in September 1986. Since then, he worked 5 1/2 years for New River Precision Co. Inc. and a year with the New River Valley Agency on Aging.

He is in the first year of his second term on Pulaski Town Council, but will be stepping down soon.

Schrader will succeed Wayne Quesenberry, who has been named lifestyles editor, in general assignment reporting.
