PEROT PARTY CANDIDATES TO SPEAK

Wythe and Bland County members of United We Stand America will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Acme Market to hear candidates for congressional district coordinator and for delegates to a state convention in July.

Non-members of the group can attend.

The election for coordinator and delegates for the party that was started by former presidential aspirant Ross Perot will be held at 2 p.m. June 26 at the Smyth County Courthouse in Marion.

The first informational meetings in the 9th District were held earlier this month in Big Stone Gap, Marion and Radford and included a videotaped welcome message from Perot.
