OBIT PARRISH, ROBERT M.

PARRISH, Robert M. ("Bob"), 78, of Roanoke, died Sunday, June 13, 1993. He was retired from Roanoke County Schools, and R.M. Parrish Landscaping. Surviving are his wife, Edna Russell Parrish; son and daughter-in-law, Marvin R. and Dean C. Parrish, Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Gladys Ann and Gary L. Hopkins, Roanoke; five grandchildren, Laura Ann Wade, Roanoke, John W. Parrish, U.S. Air Force, Minot, N.D., Michael R. Parrish, Botetourt Co., Tracy Lynn Hopkins, Priscilla Ann Hopkins, both of Roanoke; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry E. Parrish, Centerville; three sisters, Beulah P. McAllister, Roanoke, Claudia P. Ayers, Rockbridge Co., Ruth P. Blankenship, Hopewell. Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel by the Rev. Charles Hoffler. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday and Tuesday at Oakey's Roanoke.
