OBIT HYLTON, MARIE CLARK
HYLTON, Marie Clark, 66, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, June 13, 1993, in
Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born in Rockbridge County on March 4,
1927, the daughter of the late Betty Lee Clark Southers. She was preceded in
death by a grandnephew, Shawn Michael Floyd. She was a member of Penetcostal
Outreach Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert Guy Hylton; one son,
George Kenneth Erwin, Minden, La.; one sister, Mildred Floyd, Buena Vista; one
brother, Earl H. Southers, Lexington; a special niece, Brenda (Jody) Wright;
and a special grandniece, Toni Annette Floyd of Buena Vista; two nieces,
Sharon Kay Gilliam, Buena Vista and Beverly Diane Floyd, Clifton Forge; two
nephews, Kenneth Wayne Floyd Sr. Lexington and Barry Clifton Floyd, Grafton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 1993, at the
Pentecostal Outreach Church with the Rev. Jesse Blankenship officiating.
Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive
friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lomax Funeral Home and at the home of
Harry and Mildred Floyd at other times. Lomax Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
