OBIT HYLTON, FREDERICK ROSCOE
HYLTON, Frederick Roscoe, 73, of 917 Lake Dr., Bedford, died Monday, June
14, 1993, in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Floyd County on
March 29, 1920, a son of the late John Hylton and Melissa Weeks Hylton. He was
the retired owner and operator of Hylton Refrigeration Service, a veteran of
World War II, manager of Sealtest Foods in Bedford and Rocky Mount, and was a
member of Bedford Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Trail
Hylton; three daughters, Dianne Hylton, New York, N.Y., Ellen Hylton, Roanoke,
Donna Walker, Moneta; three brothers, Curtis Hylton, Meadows of Dan, Ralph
Hylton, Floyd, G.W. Hylton, Christiansburg; two sisters, Elizabeth Bolt,
Roanoke, Shirley Richards, Floyd; two grandsons, Rick Walker, Jason Walker,
both of Moneta. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 17, 1993, at
11 a.m., at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel, with Dr. Ron R. Blankenship
officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family suggests
those wishing to make memorials consider the Bedford Life Saving Crew. The
family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home,
Bedford.
