OBIT MAYES, ELIZABETH L.

MAYES, Elizabeth L., ("Busy"), 81, of Dinwiddie County, died Monday, June 14, 1993. She was a native of Buena Vista. She was a daughter of the late William Howard and Carrie Brubeck Long. Surviving are her husband Judge D. C. (Gus) Mayes; a daughter, Linda M. Chavis of Red Springs, N.C.; a son, Robert A. Mayes of Honolulu, Hawaii; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Robert A. (Isabel) Adriance of Virginia Beach, and Mrs. John F. (Jo) Wilhelm of Richmond; a brother, William Howard Long Jr. of Buena Vista. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 18, 1993, at 3 p.m in Blanford Cemetery, Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity. Mrs. Mayes's family is being served by the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg.
