OBIT GINGER, D. RALPH
GINGER, D. Ralph, age 83, of Natural Bridge Station, died Wednesday, June
16, 1993, at his home. He was born in Rockbridge County on December 21, 1909,
the son of the late Charles B. Ginger and Sallie McCullough Ginger. He was
retired from Lees Carpets after thirty-six years service. He is survived by
his wife, Marie Austin Ginger, Natural Bridge Station; two daughters and
sons-in-law, Tana Sue and Malvin Huddleston, Lexington, N.C. and Lawana and
Freddie Stinnett, Buena Vista; eight sisters and five brothers-in-law, Doris
and Jesse Hickman, Natural Bridge Station, Jackie and Charlie Patterson,
Roanoke, Frances Somers, Waynesboro, Nancy and Bern Wilkerson, Audry and
Woodrow Wood, Mildred Bryant and Nell Williams, all of Glasgow, Mary and
Sidney Vassar, Buena Vista; four grandchildren, Renee S. Moore, Dobson, N.C.,
David Stinnett, Buena Vista, Vincent Huddleston, Winston Salem, N.C. and Shane
Huddleston, Lexington, N.C.; two great-granddaughters, Whitney Blackwell and
McKenzie Moore, both of Dobson, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted at 11
a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Ed Riggs at Lomax Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will
follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7
to 8 p.m. Friday at Lomax Funeral Home.
