THE KIDS CAST VOTE OF CONFIDENCE

HURT PARK Elementary School and its principal, Mr. William Shepherd, have been in the news so many times recently that our third-grade classes are very hurt about the publicity.

We love our school, and we think our principal is the greatest. He cares for us, talks to us when we get in trouble and gives us many chances, for we know we are not always good.

We do not understand a lot of things in the newspaper and on television, but our teachers and parents explain to us what they know.

We want to let him know we love him and are sorry about everything. PIERRE LIPSCOMB ROANOKE
