ON WHAT MAP IS THE RIDGEWAY?

I agree with those who believe Roanoke should have done more to try to get a stop on the Tour DuPont Race. This would have been great for the valley.

However, I was disappointed and somewhat insulted, watching a portion of the race on ESPN, that the announcers did not know more about this area of the state. Several times, one announcer referred to the Blue Ridge Parkway as the Blue Park Ridgeway. Seems their homework wasn't done thoroughly enough.

As someone who grew up in Southwest Virginia and is very proud of the parkway, this came as an insult. Maybe someone should send this network a postcard from the Blue Ridge Parkway and enlighten them. LISA HOUCK ROANOKE
