HOUSE PANEL APPROVES AFRO-AMERICAN MUSEUM

The House Public Works and Transportation Committee unanimously approved a bill Thursday to establish a National African-American Museum.

The museum, part of the Smithsonian Institution, would feature exhibits honoring the achievements of black American thinkers, artists and writers.
