COURT PUTS WYVN PARENT IN CHAPTER 7

A federal bankruptcy judge placed the parent company of Martinsburg television station WYVN-TV in Chapter 7 liquidation.

Judge L. Edward Friend said Wednesday he will appoint a trustee Monday to oversee the operations of Flying A Communications Inc.

WYVN will remain on the air for 30 days, the judge said. If a buyer is not found by then, the station, with $800,000 in assets, will be sold piece-by-piece, he said.

Friend told 12 former full-time workers and 15 former part-time employees not to expect wages they are owed. - Associated Press
