Lockerby served the Dublin congregation in the 1980s.
The Holston Conference administrative area takes in United Methodist congregations in Radford and the Southwest Virginia region west of the New River, as well as East Tennessee and a small portion of Georgia.
Another change involves the moving of the Rev. Kenneth Carraway from First Church of Galax to First Church in Knoxville, Tenn.
He will be succeeded on June 27 by the Rev. Kenneth Morris Perkins who is coming from First Church of Richlands.
Perkins, a native of Georgia, took his theological training at Asbury Seminary. Among his pastorates is Pennington Gap United Methodist. He and his wife, Joyce, have three daughters and three grandchildren.

In the Tazewell District covering Giles County William R. Perkins has been assigned to the Pearisburg Circuit.
