OBIT SHACKLETON, VIRGINIA JAMES
SHACKLETON, Virginia James, of 1600 Westbrook Ave., Richmond, a native of
Crewe, died on Wednesday, June 16, 1993. She was the widow of Jack S.
Shackleton, a former program specialist with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and
law librarian at the University of Richmond. Mrs. Shackleton was a former
Regent of the Nathaniel Bacon Chapter of the DAR. Suvivors include a sister,
Mrs. Frances James Perkinson of Crewe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Remains rest at the Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., Richmond.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 19, in Hollywood
Cemetery, Richmond. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crestwood
Presbyterian Church or Westminster-Canterbury Endowment Fund in Richmond.
