OBIT MOORE, VIOLET SMITH

MOORE, Violet Smith, 78, of Cross Lanes, W.Va., died Tuesday, June 15, 1993. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dunbar and had been a Cross Lanes resident for 23 years. She was formerly of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Albert Moore. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph W. and Rebecca Moore of Rich Creek, John D. and Pat S. Moore of Abingdon; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and John McCarty of Boomer, W.Va., Anne and Charles Thompson of Shrewsbury, W.Va.; sisters, Mary Nissen of Arlington, and Louise Mapus of Youngstown, Ohio; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. Services will be Friday 11 a.m. in Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Dr. Milan Johnson. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park in London, W.Va.
