OBIT GILLESPIE, IDA BAIN BRYANT

GILLESPIE, Ida Bain Bryant, 76, of Salem, passed away Friday, June 18, 1993, in the Lewis-Gale Hospital. She was a homemaker and member of Straightway Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include her husband, David Park Gillespie; two sons, Richard Lee Bryant, Salem, and Bennie Park Gillespie, Florida; three daughters, Helen Irene Pate, Boones Mill, Betty Jo Blankenship, Roanoke, Ethel W. Wilhelm, Salem; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the Strait Way Holiness Church by the Pastor B. B. Wright. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday night at the funeral home from 7 to 9. John M. Oakey & Son, Salem is in charge of arrangements.
