OBIT NICELY, CLYDE D.
NICELY, Clyde D., 54, of Fayetteville, N.C., died Thursday, June 17, 1993,
at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, N.C. He was born in Clifton
Forge, Va., on November 6, 1938, the son of the late Warren J. Nicely Sr. and
Virginia P. Nicely, who survives. Mr. Nicely was employed with R. D. & D.
Associates for U.S. Government. He was retired from U.S. Army after receiving
the Purple Heart & the Bronze & Silver Star Medals. Mr. Nicely was the husband
of the late Patty Hylton Nicely, a native of Henry Co., who died December 27,
1990. He was also predeceased by a brother, David G. Nicely. In addition to
his mother, he is survived by son, Robert Gene Nicely, Washington, D.C.;
brothers, Warren J. Nicely Jr., Vinton, Hudnall A. Nicely, Covington, Ryland
Nicely, Florida, Bertrand Nicely, Blackstone, Keith P. Nicely, Frederick, Md.,
Peter J. Nicely, Roanoke; sisters, Victoria G. Nicely, San Diego, Calif.,
Teresa J. Frye, Roanoke; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be
from Mayo Christian Church, Henry Co., on Sunday at 2 p.m. The family will
receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at McKee's Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Mayo Christian Church Cemetery.
