LAWHORN-NASH

Stacey Lynn Nash and Michael David Lawhorn were married June 19, 1993, in Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry Holland, pastor of Franklin Heights Baptist Church, Rocky Mount, Va. officiating. The reception was held at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church Fellowship Center. The matron of honor was Michelle Nash Wassenberg, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Theresa Nash andMegan Nash, sisters of the bride, Sheri Arnold, sister-in-law of the bride, Sherry Loving, Joy Harvell, Judy Seymour, and Karen Burgess, all friends. Nicole Simmons was the flowergirl. The best man was Warren Lawhorn, father of the groom. The ushers were Sean Nash, brother of the bride, Kevin Burgess, Rob Bell, Charlie Lewis, Jeff McCarthy, Michael Lewis, and Michael Joe Harvell, all friends. Trevor Simmons was the ringbearer. The guestbook was attended by Susie Denham. The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Diane Nash of Mechanicsville. She graduated from Longwood College with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She is employed by Bright Horizon's Children's Center as a teacher. The groom is the son of Warren and Norma Lawhorn of Graham, N.C. He graduated from Southeastern Baptist TheologicalSeminary. He is the Minister of Music at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. The newlyweds will live in Valdese, N.C., after their honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas.
