Michelle Leah Shupe and Donald Lee Richardson were married June 12, 1993, in First United Methodist Church, Salem, Va., with Rev. Jonathan L. Bennett officiating. The reception was held at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. The maid of honor was Denise Harris, friend of bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Yates and Allison Whitaker, friends of bride, Sherri Shupe and Annette Shupe, sisters-in-law. Flowergirls were Britnee Shupe and Stephanie Shupe, nieces of bride. Bill Lawhorn, brother-in-law of groom, was best man. Ushers were James Lawhorn and Kevin Feazell, nephews of groom, Bill Boothe and Sidney Williams, friends of groom. Ringbearer was Zachary Shupe. Candlelighters were James Lawhorn and Kevin Feazell. The guestbook was attended by Jennifer Barnes. The bride wore a white satin gown with lace, sequins and teardrop pearls followed by a cathedral scalloped train. The bride is the daughter of Clarence and Sandra Shupe of Salem. She graduated from Glenvar High School 1989 and from Radford University 1993. She is employed by Salem Bank and Trust. The groom is the son of Mrs. Shirley Westmoreland of Salem and the late Mr. Lester Richardson. He attended Salem High School and is employed by Homestyle Daycare. The newlyweds will live in Salem after a wedding trip to Hollywood, Florida.
