OBIT KILLORAN, WALTER CLYDE

KILLORAN, Walter Clyde, 80, of Staunton, formerly of Fraser Lane ,died Friday, June 18, 1993, in a local nursing home. He was born October 26, 1912, in New York City, a son of the late Edward Joseph and Julia Harrer-Killoran. He was retired from American Safety Razor Company and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. C. Edington (Muriel) Thomas Jr., Staunton and Mrs. Joseph G. (Patricia) Woodard, Roanoke; three grandchildren, Stuart E. Thomas, Mrs. Carolyn Woodard Dearing, and Eric M. Woodard; great-granddaughter, Courtney Rose Dearing; two nieces, Mrs. Frank Fredella, Winston-Salem, N. C. and Mrs. Louis Hubshman, Ijamsville, Md. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Daly Killoran, on Feb. 8, 1989. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Francis Catholic Church, conducted by Father John A. Abe. Burial will be in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Frank J. McDonough, Lawrence Lockhart, Kenneth Lockhart, Jerry Dearing, Stuart Thomas, and Eric Woodard. The family will receive friends at the Hamrick Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to Staunton-Augusta Rescue Squad Memorial Trust Fund, 1601 N. Coalter St., Staunton, Va. 24401
