DUGSPUR MAN, 20, DIES IN CAR CRASH

A 20-year-old man was killed early Sunday when his car ran off a Carroll County highway and into a creek.

John Eric Nester of Dugspur died about 4 a.m. in the single-car accident, state police said.

The accident happened on U.S. 221, about two-tenths of a mile south of Virginia 672. Police said Nester's car ran off the right side of the road and into a creek, overturning and throwing him from the driver's seat.

Nester was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
