NBA FINALS FAN-TASTIC

Game 5 of the NBA Finals received a 19.0 rating Friday night on NBC, the fifth-highest rating ever for a pro basketball telecast.

The game got a 36 percent share, up 37 percent over the 13.9 rating for last year's Game 5, according to figures released by A.C. Nielsen Co.

The rating is the percentage of television households in the nation. The share is the percentage of televisions on at the time.

Game 6 on Sunday night got a 21.8 overnight rating and 40 percent share from the top 29 markets.
