An article on Monday's Money Page gave an incorrect effective date for a new law requiring notification of beneficiaries and heirs under the law when a will is filed. Executors must do this beginning Jan. 1.

The answer to a question in the Money Matters column on Monday's Money Page suggested that Charter Federal Savings Bank is responsible for an annuity it sells. This is not the case. The reference to ratings concerned Life USA Insurance Co., the insurance company issuing the policy.
