OBIT FABER, JOHN HENRY
FABER, John Henry, 75, of Smith Mountain Lake (Moneta), died Sunday, June
20, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on February 13,
1918, a son of the late John Martin Faber and Jennifer Wacker Faber. He was a
noted photojournalist and was formerly associated with Century 21 - Sellers
and Associates in Moneta as a real estate agent. Survivors include his wife,
Trudy Faber; seven children, John Faber, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Karin Faber
Clothier, Daleville, Marlene Faber Pang, Santa Clara, Calif., Donald Faber,
Saudi Arabia, Dana Faber Kelly, Baltimore, Md., Dorian Faber Gilman,
Bedminster, N.J., Erich Faber, Roanoke; also seven grandchildren. Funeral
services will be conducted on Thursday, June 24, 1993, at 11 a.m. at the
Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bruce N. Cooke officiating. A
private burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive
friends at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford on Wednesday from 5 to 8
p.m.
