OBIT MOSELEY, EDYTHE ALPHIN

MOSELEY, Edythe Alphin, 78, of Blacksburg, died Monday, June 21, 1993, at her home. Mrs. Moseley was born at Lexington, Va., on December 31, 1914, to the late Ira Ruffner and Dove Showalter Alphin. She was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church and the Women of the E.L.C.A., a frequent visitor at Blacksburg Christian Fellowship and participated in Bible Study Fellowship, a member of D.A.R., past president of Church Women United, a member of the New Dimensions and also a member of the Silver Hokie Club. Mrs. Moseley was preceded in death by her husband, Frank O'Rear Moseley. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Alene Moseley and Jim Danby, Fairfax, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Frank Ruffner and Lea Moseley, Blacksburg; four grandchildren, Tracy Goodwin and Michael Goodwin, both of Fairfax, Va.; Nancy Moseley and Virginia Moseley, both of Blacksburg; one nephew, Eldridge Pultz, Lexington, Va. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary R. Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, Joy Ranch Home for Children, P. O. Box 727, Hillsville, Va. 24343. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
