OBIT BEAN, CLARA CATHERINE REYNOLDS

BEAN, Clara Catherine Reynolds, 79, of Wytheville, died Tuesday, June 22, 1993, at the Birdmont Health Center. She was a retired teacher and librarian with the Clarke County and Botetourt County School Systems, a member of the Retired Teachers Association, a member of the Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Berryville, Va., and the United Methodist Women. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Richard Gregory, Blacksburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Nancy Bean, Wytheville; two sisters, Nell Landers, Louise Barron, both of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Banner Gregory, Margaret Bean, Amanda Bean, and Hunter Gregory. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, with Dr. Charles Burnett officiating. Interment will be in the Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville, Va. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville, from 7 to 9 p.m. The family suggests that those who prefer, may make memorials to the American Cancer Society or a scholarship fund of their choice. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
