SETTING GOOD EXAMPLE BRINGS HONOR TO SCHOOL

Round Hill Primary School was one of the top 15 schools out 891 in the "Set a Good Example" competition sponsored by the Concerned Businessmen's Association of America.

The 25 first- and second-graders chose the theme "Take Care of Yourself" as the focal point for the yearlong curriculum of discussions and activities. Topics included: understanding safety signs, the dangers of poison and drugs, and the importance of staying away from strangers.

Teacher Donna W. Lee and guidance counselor Anita Price helped the students with their projects.

The students also received certificates from the American Red Cross after completing a course on how children can take care of themselves. The participants were: Robert Allie, Rashad Anderson, Jonathan Bradbury, Ronald Clark, Kevin Fariss, DeVaughn Hall, Corey Hancock, Warren Johnson, Thomas Layman, Joel Linkenhoker, Travis Lyle, Stephon Rucker, Lenny Brown, Joseph Redman, Antonio Barnes, Samantha Fridley, Jennifer Gibbs, Deanna Hardy, Samantha Jennings, Jamie Moran, Michelle Sowers, Daneille Withcher, Candice Grimes, Tara Seabolt, Hope Thompson.
