CHURCHES HAVE BEEN `CLINTONIZED'

WHAT HAS happened to moral absolutes? We can kill 30 million babies through abortion, kill poor defenseless animals in religious ceremonies, burn the American flag, practice sodomy, spew all kinds of filth in music and movies, all with our government's approval. But God help us if we mention God's name or march in protest of lost innocent lives.

I don't see much help for America with the likes of the American Civil Liberties Union, People for the American Way and, most of all, Planned Parenthood, speaking for us.

As a society, we are doomed unless we get back some signs of morality. The churches are not doing their job. They should take a stand as they are supposed to do, but most ministers are like our president - unable to take an absolute position and stick with it.

Wrong is wrong, and there is no right in wrong no matter how you try to rationalize it. There are moral absolutes. Read about it in your Bible. RUBY A. LUCAS ROANOKE
