Griffin trailed by a stroke after the first nine holes at Boonsboro Country Club as Forehand shot a 33. He drew even with birdies on No. 14 and No. 16 and took the 2-up victory when Forehand had a double bogey-bogey finish. Griffin beat Rasmussen 2 and 1 after Rasmussen got by Raymond Harrell of Salem 2 and 1.
Griffin will meet Chip Glover of Verona in the finals. Glover defeated Roanoke's Joe Surkamer 5 and 4.
