OBIT GREER, LARRY T.

GREER, Larry T. ("Bodie"), 53, of Sycamore St., Rocky Mount, died Friday, June 25, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. He was a supervisor with Stanley Furniture Co. for 21 years and Henry County Plywood for 14 years. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Rakes and a brother, J. D. Greer. Mr. Greer was followed in death by a sister, Ruby Smithers. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Isabelle Greer; one daughter and son-in-law, Mallie and John Belanger, Ferrum; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry Steven Greer, Rocky Mount, Darius and Debbie Greer, Ferrum, George Thomas (Chad) Greer, Rocky Mount; six grandchildren, Kina Milton, William Milton, J. J. Belanger, Samantha Jo Campbell Greer, Kim Hall Greer, Jessica Hall Greer; seven sisters, Etta Cooper, Lonnie Holland, Mae Hodges, all of Rocky Mount, Hazel Ferguson, Ferrum, Polly Hodges, Rocky Mount, Carolyn Settlers, Maryland, Jennie Hodges, Bassett; four brothers, Jim Greer, Rocky Mount, Doug Greer, Ferrum, E. A. Greer, Florida, Joyce Greer, California. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in the Greer Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
