OBIT BOCKNER, JOANNE J.
BOCKNER, Joanne J., 47, of Roanoke, died Friday, June 25, 1993, at her
home. Mrs. Bockner was a graduate of Holy Family College in Pennsylvania. She
was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, the Roanoke Academy of Medicine
Auxiliary, the American Academy of Medicine Auxiliary, the Junior League of
the Roanoke Valley, and the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors. Mrs.
Bockner was a realtor with the firm Mastin, Kirkland, & Bolling. Surviving are
her husband, Dr. Andrew C. Bockner; son, Matthew Andrew Bockner; mother, Jean
G. Jaworski of Roanoke; brother, Joseph P. Yaworski of Bluebell, Penn. In lieu
of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer
Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Association. A memorial service will be
conducted 11 a.m. Monday, June 28, 1993, at St. John's Episcopal Church by the
Rev. Thomas P. O'Dell. Interment will be private. The family will receive
friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of St. John's Episcopal Church.
