OBIT ENGLISH, DORIS DILLON

ENGLISH, Doris Dillon, 89, of Roanoke, died Friday, June 25, 1993. Doris was a longtime member of Belmont Baptist Church. She was the widow of Tom English and was preceded in death by her son, Harry G. English. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Willie H. and Edith D. English, Roanoke; her grandchildren, Vickie E. Shook, Catherine English, Harry (Woody) English Jr., all of Roanoke, Dana Dillon, Richmond. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, Monday, June 28, 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Chris B. Rakestraw officiating. Interment in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to the Elevator Fund at Belmont Baptist Church, 825 Stewart Ave., S.E., Roanoke, Va. 24013, in her memory. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
