OBIT TURNER, CHARLES CLAYTON

TURNER, Charles Clayton ("Pude"), 65, of Salem, died Friday, June 25, 1993, in a Salem hospital. He was retired from J.P. Turner Construction Company. He was a member of the First Evangelical Methodist Church and was on the Board of Stewarts. He is survived by his wife, Lottie Oyler Turner; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Al Zimmerman, Roanoke, Peggy and Mike Martin, Martha and Clayton Duncan, all of Salem; a sister, Mary L. Turner, Salem; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Betty Turner, Salem; a brother, Oscar Turner, Rocky Mount; three grandchildren, David Warren Martin, Mary Christine (Crissy) Zimmerman, Shaun Clayton Duncan; two sisters-in-law, Betty Brown Turner, Alice (Sue) Turner; brother-in-law, F. H. (Babe) Adams; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Oyler; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 28, 1993, 10 a.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Burks and Rev. George W. Puffenbarger officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel after 3 p.m. Saturday.
