Carly Elizabeth Mays and Russel A. Murphey are engaged and planning to be married in December 1993 in Roanoke at North Roanoke Baptist Church. Carly is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James T. Mays. She graduated from Northside High School and is attending Virginia Western Community College. She is employed by First Baptist Church of Roanoke. Russel is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hunter L. Murphey of Roanoke. He graduated from Roanoke Catholic High School and Virginia Western Community College.
