BRINKLEY-BONILLA
Paola Duque Bonilla and AlanChristopher Brinkley were married June 5, 1993,
in the garden at LaMaisonRestaurant by Circuit Court JudgeDuncan Byrd, Jr.,
uncle of the groom. The bride was escorted to the alter by her stepfather,
Harry Bower. The reception was also held at LaMaison. The matron of honor was
Nina Hickam, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were ElsaRodriguez, Sara
Snyder, and Melissa Bower. The junior bridesmaid was Lindsey Saunders.
Flowergirl was Andrea Puccinni. The best man was JerryBrinkley, father of the
groom. Thegroomsmen were Mike Anderson, Bobby Leftwich, Bill McBride, Jr., and
Mark Morrow, friends of the groom. The junior groomsman was Hernando
Delgado,cousin of the bride. Ringbearer wasSam Bower. The bride is the
daughter of Ana Milena Bower and Harry Bower of Roanoke, and Hernando Bonilla
ofColombia, South America. She is agraduate of Rochester School of Bogota,
Colombia and completed three years atUniversity Javeriana, of Bogota. The
bridegroom is the son of Jerry and Diana Brinkley of Salem. He is a graduate
of Northside High School, attends National Business College, and is employed
by First Union Bank. After a trip to Hilton Head, S.C., the couple will live
in Roanoke.
