The bride, wearing a gown created by her mother, was escorted to the altar by her father.
The maid of honor was Christy Johnston, of Radford, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Mary Kuennen, of Centreville, Va., friend of the bride, and Julie Dangerfield, of Radford, and Laura Dangerfield, of Christiansburg, sisters of the groom. The flower girl was Katie Crouch, of Hickory, N.C., cousin of the bride.
The best man was Jeff Hallett, of Aurora, Ill., cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Steve Hallett, of Portage, Wisc., cousin of the groom, and Joe McKenna and Mike Aldrich, of Norfolk, Va., friends of the groom. The honorary usher was Scott Simpkins, of Greensboro, N.C., cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Jeremy Pietkauskis, of Sharon, Wisc., cousin of the groom.
The wedding was directed by Martha Young, of Radford. Jerry Osborne, of Radford, assisted the director. The guestbook was attended by Deborah Simpkins, of Durham, N.C., cousin of the bride. The prelude was performed by violinists Daniel and Judy Schneck, of Christiansburg. The organist was Pat Brown, of Radford. Soloist was Katie Nicely, of Radford, Va., and Indianapolis, Ind., friend of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Judy Willis, of Radford. She is a 1988 graduate of Radford High School and a 1992 graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.A. in English.
The groom is the son of Sue Taylor, of Christiansburg, and Richard Dangerfield, of Easley, S.C. He is a 1987 graduate of Christiansburg High School and is currently in the United States Navy.
The couple will reside in Newport, R.I.
