GRIFFIN-MOREFIELD

Candace (Candy) Paige Morefield and Leslie Glenn Griffin were married June 25, 1993, at 6:00 p.m., in ThrasherMemorial Chapel, with the Rev. George Wesley Jones officiating. A dinnerreception was held at Vinton WarMemorial. The maid of honor wasHeather Haynes of Pennington Gap, Va., cousin of the bride. The best man was Les Griffin of Vinton, father of the groom. The usher was Vic Pennington of Vinton, friend of the bride and groom. The bride's gown of candlelight white had hi-lo skirt with tooling overlay, long sleeve with beaded and sequined bodice. Shecarried a bouquet of ivory roses, button poms, asparagus fern and stephanotis. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Morefield of Roanoke. She is a graduate of William Byrd High School, and Emory and Henry College. She is employed by Roanoke County Schools. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Les Griffin of Vinton. He is a graduate of William Byrd High School and Virginia Western Community College. He isemployed by Magic City Ford. Thenewlyweds will live in Roanoke, after their wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico.
