RACETRACK CRITIC SHOULD STAY HOME

IN RESPONSE to the June 15 letter ("Boxing matches at the racetrack") from Sherri Richardson: I go to the Franklin County Speedway races every Saturday night, and to all the other races that Mr. Whitey Taylor has. I really miss them at Victory Stadium, and as soon as the races are back there, I will be there.

If the writer doesn't like to be around where there is drinking and abusive language, she had better dig her a hole and get inside. That goes on everywhere you go. The track is very large, and I'm sure she could find another place to sit. Also, she needs to mind her own business and watch the race instead. Security is very good at the races. I bet she can't go any place else for $5, and where children get in free, and have that much fun. The manager, his family, employees and the drivers are very friendly, and it's just like one big, happy family. I take my grandchildren, family and friends every week, and they enjoy the races as much as I do. I think the manager does one heck of a job. He's one of the nicest, kindest people I have met in a long time.

So, lady, if you can't say anything good about Franklin County Speedway, then keep your mouth shut and stay away. Franklin County is God's Country. I sure feel at home there, and I'm a city lady.
