OBIT BARKER, EDMOND THOMAS SR.

BARKER, Edmond Thomas Sr., 67, of 2612 Peppers Ferry Road, Christiansburg, died Saturday, June 26, 1993, in the Montgomery Hospital, Blacksburg. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen P. Barker; one daughter, Leathie Barker Hall of Salem; one son, Edmond T. (Bobby) Barker Jr., Christiansburg; his mother, Mrs. Leathie Barker, Christiansburg; two sisters, Jennie Barker and Nancy Akers, both of Christiansburg; five grandchildren; and two stepgrandsons. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, from the Richardson-Horne Chapel in Christiansburg, conducted by the Rev. Roy Gibson and the Rev. Danny McGlothlin. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Friends may call anytime Monday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
