CAVS ADD TRACK AND FIELD ASSISTANTS

Richmond native Randy Bungard, a former decathlete at Virginia Tech, is one of three assistant coaches appointed by University of Virginia men's and women's head track and field coach Fred Binggeli. Texas native Phil Olson and Scott Steffan, a 1992 graduate of the University of New Mexico, are the other two appointees.

\ The Wiley and Fletcher arenas at the Virginia Horse Center will be the scene today of the first of two Little House Mountain horse shows. The second is scheduled for Aug. 18. Both will feature competition in equitation and hunter divisions for beginners, juniors and amateurs. Today's show starts at 9 a.m. For more information, call Leslie Brown, show manager, at 258-2537. The first of two Variety Pak Pleasure horse shows will be 6 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a variety of pleasure classes, including a costume class, and "bareback go as you please."
