Rocky Mount Post 6 blasted 18 hits, and pitcher Brad Plaster went the distance in allowing Roanoke Post 3 South only five hits in the 21-1 American Legion baseball victory Monday night.

Ricky Young had a solo homer for Rocky Mount, Chris Mattox went 4-for-5 and Riley Hodges had three hits and seven RBI.

Tony Russell homered for Post 3 South's only run. The game was called after seven innings because of the slaughter rule. - Staff report
